Ronia Ibrahim is is a writer, designer and artist currently residing in Naarm, so-called Australia. Her art, poetry and non fiction explores storytelling through the lens of the diaspora. You can find more of her work on her website and at @r.oniaibrahim on Instagram.
Ronia writes: ‘Liberation is a Gazan Poppy, an Olive Branch is a digital illustration in response to the ongoing genocide in Palestine. Both the Gazan Poppy and the olive branch are symbols of resistance and liberation for Palestine, and I chose these plants because they are important reminders of how solidarity is always intertwining with hope. Flowers and plants have always been present in my drawings, and I like to think that is a testament to how the natural world always offers me new ways of seeing radical change in the everyday.’
