Helena Crawford
Electric Anatomy
I took apart a computer,
without really knowing
what I was doing
just reaching into empty ribs
and unplugging veins.
No-one knew how to dissect
our old friends
dead from age and Windows XP
but we had to have our cadavers
back in the morgue
three-fifteen sharp,
skin screwed back on.
